Vari-Point Interactive Audio Visual Display System

Client:
East Sussex County Council, UK

Work Undertaken:
To design and an interactive audio visual display system to be used in visitor centres around the county highlighting environmental issues. The system also had to be portable, easy to set and secure once in situ. The client had already sourced all of the audio visual components to be used within the system.

All the design work was carried using Autodesk Inventor to model and detail all of the components within the design. Using 3D models allowed the client to see what the design would actually looked like.

The system was then manufactured in partnership with RewThink.

The system was split into two parts, the main section incorporated a television that was controlled by a solid-state data recorder, controlled through a user interface and ear-phones. Using the solid-state recorder enables the client to upload new content easily & efficiently.

Vari-Point Interactive Audio Visual Display SystemAttached to the main section are two display panels, that could either be arranged in a semi-circle or folded back to produce a stand that had 360° access.

Vari-Point Interactive Audio Visual Display SystemThese panels were designed in such a way that they provided the best possible flexibility for displaying information. The panels could also be removed (removable custom hinges & pins), leaving the main section as a standalone unit.
